This policy outlines the terms and conditions regarding the shipping, delivery, and handling of goods and services provided by Elkom Technologies Limited.

Elkom Technologies Limited provides delivery and logistics support for clients across Kenya and East Africa. Our shipping policy covers:
Equipment Delivery: Physical goods such as CCTV cameras, DVRs/NVRs, access control panels, cables, and mounting hardware.
Service Mobilization: The dispatch of our expert technicians and engineers to your site for installation, maintenance, or support.
We partner with reliable logistics providers to ensure your security equipment reaches you safely.
Local Deliveries (Kenya): We use reputable courier services and logistics companies for deliveries within Nairobi and upcountry regions. For large infrastructure projects, we may coordinate dedicated transport.
East Africa Region: For clients in Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Burundi, we partner with regional freight and logistics companies to ensure timely and secure delivery.
Special Handling: Security equipment is often sensitive. All packages are handled with care, and fragile items are clearly marked and packaged accordingly.
Nairobi Metro Area: For orders above KES 20,000, shipping may be offered free of charge. For smaller orders, a standard delivery fee will apply and be communicated at the time of quote.
Upcountry Kenya: Shipping costs are calculated based on the weight of the equipment, the destination, and the urgency of delivery. A quote will be provided before shipping.
East Africa: International shipping rates will be provided upon request and are subject to customs clearance and duties (see Section 8).
In-Stock Items: Orders for in-stock items are typically processed within 24 Hours after order confirmation and payment clearance.
Special Orders: Items that are not in stock or require configuration may take 2-4 business days to process. Our sales team will keep you informed of any delays.
Bulk Project Orders: For large infrastructure projects, delivery schedules will be outlined in your project plan or Service Agreement.
Once your order has been dispatched, estimated delivery times are as follows (business days):

Please note: These are estimates and not guarantees. Delays may occur due to customs clearance, weather, or unforeseen circumstances with our logistics partners.
For projects that include installation, the “delivery” includes the arrival of our team and equipment.
Scheduling: Installation dates are scheduled in advance with you. We will confirm a date and time window for our technicians to arrive.
On-Site Arrival: Our technicians strive to arrive on time. If a delay occurs (e.g., traffic, previous job overrun), we will notify you as soon as possible.
Mobilization Fees: For sites outside Nairobi, a mobilization fee may apply to cover transport and accommodation for our technicians. This will be clearly stated in your quote.
To ensure a smooth delivery:
Signature Required: A signature is required upon delivery. By signing, you acknowledge that the package appears to be in good condition and that the number of items received matches the delivery note.
Inspection: We strongly recommend inspecting the goods immediately upon delivery.
Damaged or Short Shipment: If the package is visibly damaged or items are missing, please note this on the delivery note before signing, or refuse the delivery, and contact us immediately at (+254) 702 617777.
For shipments outside Kenya, the recipient is considered the “Importer of Record.”
Responsibility: Elkom Technologies Limited is responsible for delivering the goods to the border or the designated logistics hub in your country. The buyer is responsible for all import duties, customs clearance fees, taxes (e.g., VAT in the destination country), and any associated brokerage fees.
Documentation: We will provide all necessary commercial invoices and documentation to assist with customs clearance.
Equipment: The risk of loss or damage to physical goods passes to you upon delivery to the specified address and confirmation of receipt (signature).
During Transit: While goods are in transit, our logistics partners are responsible for the items. We will assist in filing claims for any loss or damage that occurs during shipping.
If your shipment has not arrived within the estimated timeframe:
Contact Us: Please email info@elkomtechnologies.co.ke with your order number.
Investigation: We will initiate a trace with the courier company immediately.
Resolution: If a package is confirmed lost, we will work with you to either reship the items (subject to stock) or process a refund.
If you receive an incorrect item due to an error on our part, please contact us immediately. We will arrange for the correct item to be sent and cover the return shipping costs for the incorrect item.
